Kamaria Kaalund

I am a health policy scholar and environmental justice advocate whose work investigates community-based healthcare delivery models, structural determinants of health, and healthcare financing. My goal is to apply a health equity lens to policy solutions that address systemic barriers to achieving full health and well-being.

    • Community-based Care Delivery Models

    • Climate Resiliency and Environmental Justice

    • Rural Health Disparities

    • Alternative Payment Models

  • As a scholar in public health and health policy, I aim to apply learnings from my personal and professional experiences to inform research and policy that is beneficial to all people but, particularly that which, redresses health injustices caused by systemic oppression. I place value on interdisciplinary and collaborative research and I seek to practice reflexivity and continually interrogate my social location and biases.

Through doctoral training in health policy, I hope to refine a methodological foundation and research praxis rooted in evidence, impact, and equity
